Case designed by Anthony Grimshaw, architect, who won a Special Commendation from the Worshipful Company of Carpenters for all of the furnishings in the church.

St George’s was declared redundant during a reorganisation of churches in the Wigan area.

2022 – removed and relocated to Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral by Cousans Organ Builders.
